Course SyllabusThis course introduces students to various forms of metal working and manufacturing. Many machines and tools will be used with safety being the main focus of the course. Much of the class is hands-on fabrication in the shop, but only after learning the background knowledge, safety, and real-world applications of each topic.

Grading Structure
This course will serve all students who are interested in applying academic concepts to the manufacturing industry of metals. Using traditional metalworking tools and equipment students will create projects involving planning, layout, and measurement. Students will work in the traditional areas of welding, sheet metal, foundry, and machine tool with contemporary emphasis on applied math and science.
